Art and creativity inspired by Anatomy and Science

Sandrine Pelletier

This lace skeleton with batwings is the creation of Swiss artist Sandrine Pelletier.

“Her artistic stance consists of adopting artisanal practices as part of a dialogue she facilitates between the subject and its depiction, between matter and symbol, using the tools of conceptual and minimal art in conjunction with folklore, superstitions and everyday life.
Pelletier’s complex structure/sculptures magnify her recurrent themes of metamorphosis, rituals and legends.” [taken from her website]
