Helen Bridges: Lungs of London

At First Thursdays last week, I found these lovely prints by London based printmaker Helen Bridges at the Vyner Street Gallery. ‘Lungs of London‘ and ‘Be as you are(above) are screen prints that reflect Helens understanding of colour and text. She says;

‘I take inspiration from the city’s constantly changing environment working predominantly in print, building up many layers of imagery and colour. Often I incorporate drawn, photographic and typographical parts overlaying one another, letting some peep through while others are left buried-like memories of places.’
