Art and creativity inspired by Anatomy and Science

Erica Dorn: Anatomy of Intimacy

The French-Japanese graphic designer and illustrator based in London, Erica Dorn, has defined the literal translation of intimacy by creating a visual and visceral reality in this piece. These lovers are made form polymer clay, tissue paper and resin and effectively communicate the emotions of intimacy. From her site;

‘The Anatomy of Intimacy is a series inspired by the relationship at the point of convergence between science and aesthetics: the human body. Through the use of anatomical metaphors, they explore the themes surrounding human relationships — intimacy, honesty, vulnerability, commitment, deception, procreation and ageing.’
