Art and creativity inspired by Anatomy and Science

Dissection

This book has got to be one of the most macabre things I’ve seen in a while. Dissection: Photographs of a rite of passage in American Medicine 1880-1930 is a collection of photographs from a time when it was usual practice to take a photograph of yourself and your dissection table with the cadaver. Truly fascinating. If you have a strong stomach… this one’s for you!
